The 13th Mid-South Regional Overseas Chinese Sport Cup kicked off from April 29th to April 30th, 2017 at National Chi Nan University, Nantou. Students studied at universities located in middle and southern Taiwan were all invited to attend this game.

The events were categorized in ball games, Track and Field and Swimming. Events such as basketball, badminton, and soccer for ball games; relay race and 100 to 3,000 -meter dash for Track and Field; freestyle, breaststroke, and butterfly for swimming were offered and awards went to the top three players.

In the awards ceremony, Ms. Chin Hui San studied at Department Civil and Environmental Engineering was announced to win the golden metal for both women's 50 and 100-meter backstroke, and Mr. Kwan Chi Hang studied at Department of East Asian Languages and Literature won the golden metal for both men's 100 and 400-meter dash for NUK.
