The Sungkyun Hanguel Essay Contest (Korean Writing Contest) is back and better than ever.  Since it was first held in 2007, the contest has become one of SKKU's premiere social contribution programs.  The contest not only motivates students to learn Korean writing but also provides educational opportunities to participate in various programs at SKKU.  It was originally held offline, but since 2020 has been held online due to the pandemic.

This year's Local Contest will be divided into eight different regions: South Korea, China, Southeast Asia, Central Asia ‧ Russia, Europe, Northeast Asia ‧ Oceania, North America ‧ Latin America, and Southwest Asia ‧ Middle East ‧ Africa.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze Local Contest prize winners can participate in the Global Contest and Visiting Events in Korea in July, 2022.

Even if students are not majoring in Korean but are confident in their Korean writing skill, they are welcome to participate in the contest.
