2023-05-31 On May 26th, the Korean Language Education Center (KLEC) of Seoul National University visited the Language Center of the National University of Kaohsiung. They were greeted by Jyh-wen, Chern, the director of the Language Center, to discuss future cooperation between the two universities.


On the morning of the 26th, representatives from the Korean Language Education Center (KLEC) of Seoul National University visited the Language Center of NUK. During the meeting, both sides discussed the operating conditions of the two universities and explored possible opportunities for interflow studying resources. The goal is to offer students a broader selection of language courses and more chances to enhance their language skills. During the meeting, both sides discussed that with the cooperative partnership with Seoul National University, the Language Center of NUK will provide online Chinese courses or a short-term study group on Chinese and its culture for students of Seoul National University during summer or winter breaks. The cooperation will strengthen the partnership between the two universities while promoting further interaction.

Seoul National University's Korean Language Education Center (KLEC) has been teaching Korean to international students and foreigners in Korea since its establishment in 1969. With a team of professional teachers who develop courses, KLEC has gained a reputation for its excellent teaching experience and proficiency.

At NUK, our Language Center has been offering language proficiency tests and courses in English and other languages to students, faculty members, and the public since its inception in August 2002. The integration of the Chinese Language Center in January 2013 has further enhanced our ability to provide Chinese language courses that enable participation and integration with the global community.

The Language Center and Korean Language Education Center have both been committed to language training for a significant period. During our meeting, we gained a better understanding of each other's operating conditions, which presented an opportunity to establish a strong partnership between our universities. Regarding language education courses for students, we can now work together to plan more comprehensive and appropriate language courses for students, ultimately building a prosperous future in language education.
