2023-10-16 The "NUK Sports Carnival," organized by the National University of Kaohsiung's Physical Education Office, kicked off with excitement on the evening of the 16th. Principal Yueh-Tuan Chen presided over the opening ceremony, cheering on the participating students and encouraging everyone to enjoy the passion brought by the competition.
Yueh-Tuan Chen stated that NUK encourages students and faculty to develop exercise habits and participate in sports competitions. That's why NUK regularly holds the "Sports Carnival." This serves two purposes: to enhance health and provide opportunities to make new friends. The opening ceremony featured performances such as face-changing shows and freestyle football, which garnered enthusiastic applause from the audience.
This year's "NUK Sports Carnival" will feature a series of competitions including basketball, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, and slow-pitch softball. Additionally, on December 21st, NUK will host a sports celebrity lecture where they will invite Yong-Wei Yang, a judo athlete who won the 100th gold medal for Taiwan in the Asian Games, to share his experiences.
