Science and technology center for disaster prevention and reduction of National University of Kaohsiung (NUK) inaugurated today, Dr. Min-Hao Wu an associate professor of department of civil and environmental engineering serves as director of the center. Dr. Wu has been supporting disaster prevention and reduction for Kaohsiung City Government for several years, from Typhoon Morakot (2009) to Kaohsiung gas explosion disaster (2014), contributing his effort and experiences to disaster recovery. The center will continue to provide scientific researches about storm, landslides and suggestions of disaster prevention and reduction for the government.
