【Promotion of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) series】

2023-09-14 The Center for Teaching and Learning Development(CTLD) at the National University of Kaohsiung (NUK) has organized a special course titled "The Goal of University Education" for freshmen in the new semester. This course aims to lay a strong foundation for their four-year university journey, encompassing academic, adaptational, and interpersonal aspects. With this program, students will develop problem-solving skills, independent learning abilities, and more. On the 12^th, the first course "Setting Sail for the Future and Guiding Learning Directions" encouraged students to excel in their fields and explore different domains. In addition, the "Bu Juan Jiaoyu Zhi Ye(Unwearied Education)" company COO, Zeng Pei-You, guided on setting goals and effectively utilizing university resources.

In this semester's "The Goal of University Education" program, activities such as "Learning Directions," " Romantic Relationship," "The Human Library," "PaGamO-themed Reality Game," and so on are planned to provide freshmen with a deeper understanding of the campus environment, departmental overviews, learning resources, and various of scholarships and grant. On the 12^th, the theme was "Setting Sail for the Future and Guiding Learning Directions ," which encouraged freshmen to plan their university learning journey, break free from traditional thinking, cultivate interdisciplinary skills, and actively explore multiple professions to adapt to the rapidly evolving technological era.

On that day, NUK invited Zeng Pei-You, the COO of the "Bu Juan Jiaoyu Zhi Ye(Unwearied Education)" company, who used inspirational icebreaking games to help students think and express themselves. He also shared his life story to remind students that "finding the right direction is more important than just working hard!" He emphasized that very few people can determine their direction from the start. Instead, most people explore their interests and strengths before establishing their goals and taking action. The university stage is an excellent field for practice, and it's where you can find your strengths and confidences, and continuously accumulate energy, even in the face of setbacks and failures. The sincere dedication and effort are all nutrients for growth.
